Branch Ministries is the parent body for the Dewsbury Gospel Church which has many facets; the Branch Christian School provides Christian education for children aged 3 through to 18; and the Branch Christian Bookshop provides a wide range of books, music and resources for local churches and individuals. In addition members of the church work with the radio ministry of Branch FM which delivers 24-hour radio programming via the Internet

The church is approximately 5 minutes from Dewsbury Railway station (on the Leeds-Manchester line) and 10 minutes from Dewsbury bus station, together with being close to the M1 (junction 40) and the M62 (junction 28). Dewsbury Gospel Church is active in a number of areas including a very active Kid's Church, a Youth Church plus a range of Creative Ministries.

Other ministries include a worship team, a radio ministry, ministry of helps, a creche on Sunday morning for the under 5's, The Branch Christian School, a Christian Coffee Shop and many others.

You are very welcome to come and join us at one of our morning or evening services or the church prayer meeting.

The Branch Christian Bookshop has all the best in Christian books, music and videos. Available are general Christian texts, together with specialist American texts from authors such as Andrew Wommack and Bob Yandian.

In addition there is a range of Christian music, plus Christian DVDs and a Christian coffee shop that is open until 2pm each day.

The Branch Christian School: God's vision for a Christian school in Dewsbury was given to the Dewsbury Gospel Church in the early 1990's. A sound basis was formed using Accelerated Christian Education (ACE) material (www.christian-education.org (UK) & www.aceministries.com (US)). The school is fully registered with OFSTED and offers Christan education for children aged 3 to 18.

St. Mark's Church, currently being refurbished & will open as Dewsbury Revival Centre. Branch Ministries has been looking for a venue to use as a base for community regeneration for a number of years. The disused St. Mark's building in Dewsbury was identified in the late 1990's as offering the greatest potential. The original building was built in 1864 and consecrated in 1866 and is of the high Gothic tradition and its construction incorporates the best of Victorian craftsmanship and high quality masonry with the advantage of very fine Dewsbury stone. St. Mark's was also the home church of the S.S. Titanic Band Leader Wallace Hartley, born in Colne, who lived at West Park St, Dewsbury.

The potential was confirmed in late 1998 through a series of evangelistic events conducted by the late Barry Smith, hosted by Dewsbury Gospel Church. Following the success of this event, Branch Ministries began the process of purchasing this historic building. Since that date the church has been refurbished, a process which is ongoing.

KID'S Church ...

Every Friday at 6 pm for an hour ...

At Kids Church (3's to 12's) we have lots of laughs. In fact, we have a blast with so many colourful and fun activities, stories and games. But the heart of Kids Church is sound, biblical training, preparing our children for a closer, righteous walk with God, daily - and into the future. KID's Church operates using the Bill Wilson programme from Metro Ministries, internationally renowned and is held at Westmoor School in Dewsbury on Friday's at 6pm.
